Expert: Platform of toxic content marking should avoid overdoing

MOSCOW, Nov 22 (PRIME) -- A platform of toxic content marking on the Internet will help curb down malicious information, but overreaction should be avoided, news and research agency TelecomDaily head Denis Kuskov told PRIME on Monday.

“On the one hand, certainly, it’s good because we now have a lot of fake content, a lot of content that offends morality. Many portals write only about murder, all other topics mentioned in the project. The only moment is who will enter the data, who will decide what should be marked or should not, and whether there will be some exaggerations,” Kuskov said.

Previously, IT businessman Igor Ashmanov told media about development of platform of toxic content marking, the information that is dangerous but not banned by law, like information about violence or danger of vaccination, among others.
